There are only a few punishments available to kings guard due to the fact that a guardsman’s life expectancy after joining is around three years and many simply wont live long enough to receive said punishment. Rottan’s company has enjoyed the least amount of casualties running at thirty four over a six month period, something he prides himself on.

Punishments range depending on the severity of the crime. These include self-severing the small toe and fingers, all the way up to one thousand lashes. The punishments are designed to hurt but not effect combat ability. Some say joining the guard is punishment enough and death will surely follow given enough time.
