The Dead Seas aren’t really dead. In fact, they aren’t really wet either. The name was given to the five plains by a disgruntled tradesman who took to the fields despite the warnings from the trading guilds, in the hopes of taking a few days off his travel time. He got lost in the rather tall “deaths Hollow Grass” and died of starvation. Actually, he ate his horse first, then died.

…Actually, he ate his horse, then his left leg and THEN he died.

Navigating the dead seas is hard and a guild has risen whose expertise in traveling the fields is highly sought after, especially as only a few remain thanks to the tainted using the fields as hunting grounds.
